All:

I just bought an '08 FLHX with cruise control, security, etc. ...tried the cruise control feature, Sunday and no dice...no indicator light,nothing. Has anyone else had problems with CC? My dealer is going to take a look at it, but I was hoping not to have to deal with all that crap if its a simple fix or if I overlooked something. (the switch on the inner fairing console was on when I tried to set the CC)

Dealer Warrenty item.
Of course you want to have them fix it. Its under warranty.
Its their problem.

It seems that there are some "teething" problems with the new FBW systems. Take it back to your dealer. The sad part is HD probably wont admit it and will keep using their customers as test riders.

 

Same thing happened on my 08 Dresser all the time ya know what it was? just like your problem no indicator light nothing!! Thedealer failed to download the software for the cruise control when they installed it, as the bike from the factory didnt have cruise the dealer installed it later before delivery but failed to do the download duh!! What happended to Road Testing a bike before delivery?, shoulda known better bike had only 3 miles on it when I picked it up, all is OK now, except dealer scratched my saddlebag, have to address that issue Saturday!!thanks Bill
