Storage is the main reason. 2nd. Loacking bags that dont leak. 3rd. I get boarded just listening to the road and the motor. 4th. More protection from the elements. 5th. Im tired of the bike working its way into every groove in the road. I could add an aftermarket fairing and buy a tour pack but I might as well take a bath in just trading up. I guess Im not wanting to admit that Im getting soft. The old lady and I pack up the RKC with a T-Bag on the back, but it still is not enough room. Plus loading and unloading, leather saddle bags need constant maint. They are 2 years old and are starting to look like sH*t. I know I will take a bath on the 07 but if it does not give me the aminities I need the who cares. I know it sounds petty, I have a nice bike and Im sure there are alot of folks out there that would love to have a HD but the RKC just is not cutting the mustard since the old lady and I are traveling further and further from home on our trips.
