What should the inside of just-chromed lowers look like? I bought some already chromed from a chromer (02 FLHR Road King). The insides have fluffy "oxidation" that wipes off with a rag. Specks of this white $hit run all the way down the bore. Should I swab this out or what?
Also, on the seat for the seal, near the tip of the parts, there is a light ring of red rust looking residue. Having not taken mine off yet, I'm wondering WTF and if this is normal after the chrome process and normal appearance for 02 lowers.
What did your lowers look like back from the chromer?
