I put as set of LRB pads on the rear of my 04 FLHTC
and changed the fluid out. The pedal came up fine
but now when I get on the rear brakes hard at all
the pedal goes away and I have no brakes, no stoping power.
When I do get stoped I smell the rear brakes are over heated.
Any ideas what`s going on??
Rebleed the brakes as a start. Sounds like the pistons may be sticking in the caliper. You could also take out the pads, clean the pistons with brake cleaner and a tooth brush and then bleed again. I don't know what you did when you put them in. Another though is the rear wheel might be slightly misaligned causing teh pads to rub excessively on the rotor.
