C'mon in. The water's warm. Traded my VTX for the 03 and no looking back. Honey loves it and wants to ride with me more than ever.

friend with a very nice Dyna bought an 07 Ultra Classic a few weeks ago, very happy man. His wife now rides the Dyna.

Think he is a 'bagger' man for life now..

I traded in a low rider on an 07 EGC.. I am so glad I did and my back thanks me.

One thing that struck me is that you were "waiting on a union vote" to let you know if you would have money. Man, I have never understood the mentality that would let a bunch of other people, no less the neaderthals that run unions tell me if I can work. But to each his own.

I will say I will never go back to a Dyna....

Whoa, whoa, wait a minute.....We don't run it all loosey goosey over here like they do over in the Dyna section; it takes a wee bit more than putting down your hard-earned $$$, and getting a tourer to get in here.
We've all gotta get together around a few beers and decide whether or not we're gonna allow you into OUR club. He**, the first round is ON you.

without exception every job i had before my union job paid less than half and 90% didn't have health insurance. plus in 25 years I've never been laid off. even when it's slow they let us come in and do nothing for 40 hrs a week and offer voluntary layoff for anyone who would rather draw unemployment.
how many non union jobs can do that

We will let you in, just for the price of a beer.

BTW- sounds like you are in a craft union like the carpenterS?

I was talking about labor unions, sorry.

Never been in a union, and always had a great job with benefits... had to manage labor union guys(UAW, USW), was never impressed. They usually just protected the losers, and drove companies out of business.

Now, if I could get paid for doing nothing, I could live with that. ;-)

Good luck with the bagger, you won't be sorry.

I started riding last April... Rented just about everything Harley has and ended up with a used FXDWG with 2200 miles on it. Bought a 08 King in May with the idea of it being better for the GF (2up) and maybe do a little touring... Well......... If I were to do it again I would buy a new FXDWG w/96" & 6 spd and find a used King... The King is the the King, no doubt... But for me the WG is funner.

If you just started riding last april you haven't been in the fray long enough to know. The FXDWG is a great bike but over time you will come to appreciate your RK more than you'll know. Take each on a long road trip then file another report. I promise it won't read the same.
