Looks like a great piece of handywork! I'm impressed on the simplicity and functuality...you thought out everything really well. I honestly did like the suggestion of a rock guard tho...no one wants their scoot marred up from road debris that can be thrown from the back of your truck.
Keep up the good work and keep those inventions comin'!
Hey H J, Looks real nice. Better than what I'm cooking up. I have a open 7 by 16 foot trailer with metal rails about 18 inches high. Well my uncle and me are going to ride around Fla this coming feb. We live in Pa and will have to trailer south until we get into decent weather. We want to bikes enclosed to guard againts any salt or snow so I'm planning on studding out the trailer, probably about 6 1/2 feet high and covering the studs with OSB and doing the same across the top. Told my uncle we'll look like the Beverly Hillbillies with the trailer. Won't be pretty but it'll keep the bike nice.
I hope you never need that winch to put a bike on the trailer, but just in case......... Good work on the trailer.
I had an old shovel once that the rear wheel bearing seized up and we had a heck of a time loading it up. That is why I put the crab winch on the trailer.
I have some small straps that will go around the front forks at the Axel so I can pull it up with the winch and not hurt anything.
That way me and the wife are able to load with out any other help.
And, thanks for the compliment.
