Go figure!!!! I hop on the SG this morning and head off to work. Once I get passed my street I immediately turn up my (stock) radio and noticed the right speaker is not working (only the tweeter was working). Ok, pinched wire, loose connection, etc...when I get home I'll fix it.
Get home...nope, everything is fine and still, it does not work. It does something that I thought was weird though...I pushed in and out the cone to see if it was blown (looking for the scratchy voice coil) and when I pushed in the cone it would play. I've never seen this before, but never checked for a blown voice coil while speaker was still getting power. Odd.
Here's the kicker...I have everything I need to install my stereo system except the speakers. I just ordered them last night and got the tracking number today. It will be a week before they get here. Then probably next weekend before I can do the install.
Dealer needs the bike for a day or so (depending on how busy they are) to "diagnosis" the problem. They wont do a one for one swap. Yeah, screw that!!!! I guess I'll be riding around with one speaker (working) until next week.
F@$KIN" HARLEYS!!!!!!!!!! LOL
Anyone in Temecula, CA area have a stock speaker I can borrow or buy????? LOL
stock speakers suk, why didn't you just upgrade with hog tunes in 3 days you would be rock'n again
Because, I have an Arc Mini, Alpine 9887, a pair of Boston Acoustic Pro50 (shipped, on their way) and a PAC SWI-JACK. Cant do the install until the speakers get here!!!!
I just needed the stock system to last until I got the above system installed.
