Default Clutch Question

How much should the rear tire spin when elevated and dropped into first with clutch pulled all the way in? Friend said some spin "stop by hand" is fine". Mine is moving and no way would i try to stop it. Is this normal or is the clutch out of adjustment. Would this cause the engine to run hotter than normal? Need help bike has not been the same since the dealer had it, they say its fine.

Thanks
paul

Sounds fine to me. Just the fluid, without any resistance (up in the air) will cause the spin. How about on the ground? I've noticed and others have had the same thing, but if you leave it in gear, with the clutch in and try backing or such it's harder than in neutral. Again the fluid. (I think)

Your way over analyzing. If you start your bike when cold, put in gear wioth clutch lever still pulled in and it doesn't go forward, everything is fine.

stop it with the brake and see if your engine slows down if it does the clutch is to tight
and you need to get a little slack in the cable.
