I have a 2007 Ultra glide and was wanting to know if anyone had the basic Vance and Hines slip on mufflers? If so how do you like them? I am looking at them for my bike. The stock mufflers have got to go. I am looking for something a little more louder for the bike. I don't want it to be deafning.

 

I have a set that I got earlier in the week sitting in my garage. They are going to be installed Sunday on my 08 RK.

 

Well when you get them on tell me how they sound and if you like them.

one of my buddies has the Basic's on his 06 Street Glide,they sound good,not awfully loud. I have the Classic's w/billet tip's on my 07,mine are diffently louder when you want them to be.

 

I have wild pigs with 1 3/4 baffle on my 05 classic got them off ebay $160.00 to my door.They sound good an look good not to loud.I do not like flare from head pipe to muffler on the vance hines ,although they are a good muffler.

 

I like that flaired look. And I had planned to install a set of the V&H basics on my 08 ultra. That is, until I emailed V&H. I asked if the pipes were ok to use with no other mods. I explained that I was trying to avoid the remap. Their response was that any change to intake or exhaust should include a remap.
I went with the Rush pipes.

 

I have the V&H basics ons and like them just fine.The sound is just right.

 

Anything V&H is good!!

 

ok i have read that some of you have not done anything to your bike except the slip ons. Do you really have to get it remap or not? I have been told by a few that you do not have to have it remapped. All I am looking for is a little more sound on my bike.
