Spend the extra cash (if that is an option) and buy a Clearview with recurve. You won't regret it.

I did and got rid of it.......recurve didn't work at all. They say the 8" with recurve is supposed to be like a 10" standard.......well it's not. The 10" standard works much better for wind protection then the 8"/recurve did.

I bought the short smoked windshield from Bikersdelight on e-bay last spring for $35. No cracks, no foggy look. Wipes off clean and easy to install. If your concerned about cracking from the mounting bolts, buy some bigger nylon washers at the hardware or autoparts store. A chrome accent strip will cover the bigger washers.

I just bought a 7 inch smoked Lexan for about 40 bucks on Ebay delivered to the door. No problems with the fit. Looks great.

Hmmm. I have the 6 inch with recurve and it works great. Easily as good as an 8" standard.

Arrow smoked windshield

My 2007 RoadGlide came with 2 windshields, the stock clear one which I just put on for cold weather. The other one was the 4/5" smoked one. I couldn't hear the radio and the wind blast was too much. I bought a $ 45.00 offa E-bay and sold the Hd one there. The difference is price was big. No issues at all with the less expensive one. Go for it! Spend the difference on chrome.

I have, I bought a 6" and a 10" off Ebay for my Street Glide. Both were really cheap, but functional. they were probably $35 delivered (shipped flat). I also recently picked up a 9" Memphis Shades gradiated windshield that was pre-curved. That one was excellent quality. I paid $63 delivered for it.

What is the height of the factory windshield for an Electra Glide Standard/ Classic/ Ultra? Is it 10" or 12"?

Thanx,
Ben

i bought 6" smoked one off ebay last year that has wings so it comes farther out the sides and love it. it was around $40 shipped. i was looking on ebay yesterday to buy another one but 8" and didnt see them on there anymore.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/12-Cl...mZ120307870969

i am going to try one of these as they say they are made out of mar resistant polycarbonate. as said earlier....STAY AWAY FROM SHIELDS MADE FROM ACRYLIC as they arent near as strong.
