Question 6 inch windshield

Has anyone bought one of the cheap 6 inch windshields off ebay? I was wondering if they junk or not. I am wanting to try a shorter windshield, but don't want to spend alot of money in case I don't like it.

try fastaire.com $38.00 the shields okay but the clarity is not there. But it works for a cheap or temp shield. I have a 8" dark smoked and the shield seems alittle cloudy compaired to factory.

Don't waste your time. They come with a warning not to over tighten...that's an under statement. They crack real easy...they are not polycarbonate (or whatever). I had one crack while installing it and I wasn't even tightening that screw hole. JUNK! If they crack that easy...just imagine something hitting it on the highway at 60-70 mph, it would shatter.

Spend the money and get the MoCo one. Can be found on Ebay all the time.

www.fastaire.com

That is the way to go, 2-3 day delivery, and they are very affordable and high quality.

I've had a few with no problems at all.............4", 8", 9", and now I'm using their 10" dark smoke.

+1 for Fastaire.

I have a 10" clear that I've had on for two years. It still looks like new. I have a 6" dark gray that I put on when I have my tour pak off. I swap them out all the time and have never seen a scratch or a crack. They've held up great. I even have an 8" that I can toss on when I want a different look.

I wouldn't worry about clarity on a 6" dark gray windscreen (it's gonna look dark). You're really not going to be looking *thru* a 6" screen much.

Given the price of Fastaire, you could buy one of each size (plus a spare) and still spend less than a single big name brand screen.

6" shield on previous bike did little to help me with the wind. It looked cool but the wind hit right at eye level.

The $25.00 Ebay ones will scratch if you breath on them too much.

I got a med. dark 8" from Fastaire.com about a month ago and have been pleased. They come well protected and with good instructions and I notice no less clarity than my 10" H-D one.. An easy swap and well worth the $39.00 including shipping.
