I'd never buy HD boots at a dealership, but Academy sells them in the workboots section (for around half what the dealership charges).

Good old USMC issue combat boots for me. The old Corps kind, not the new ones.

I didn't have anything against the Harley brand; just didn't want everything to look like I was a walking advertisement. Don't care where they are made; everyone needs to work. The more money the Chinese workers make, the sooner they will throw their leaders out. Everyone wants the goodies and if the current leaders don't provide the goods, they are toast.
If they don't fit you ain't gonna wear them. I too went to th work boot store and ended up with Wolverines that fit me perfectly. That was a year and a half ago and the show no real signs of wear. Granted I don't wear them all day every day but I do wear them to work every day since I ride to work and change there. My wife ended up with Harley for the same reason as you.

I would prefer these boots over athletic shoes ...........
I have found the same thing with Wolverines. Those things ARE more comfortable than athletic shoes. I can walk all over Disneyland or the zoo for 12 hours and feet still feel great ( not so with the rest of my body)
