im a big red wing fan just bought another pair this year my last set lasted me 10yrs and were broken in quite well. I did try a pair of milwaukees last year comfy but didnt last long the soles wore out in 6months time. dont know much about frye boots sorry

I've found that I can't get all excited about getting a certain brand. I need to find a boot the fits and feels good on my feet. I went to a work boot store and tried on a dozen pairs. The only ones that fit my obviously oddball feet were the Harley ones. I wanted to steer clear from the Harley ones, but those are the ones that fit. I didn't have anything against the Harley brand; just didn't want everything to look like I was a walking advertisement. Don't care where they are made; everyone needs to work. The more money the Chinese workers make, the sooner they will throw their leaders out. Everyone wants the goodies and if the current leaders don't provide the goods, they are toast.

Wore Frye boots a lot back in the 70s and early 80s. They made a good boot, probably still do. I started wearing Red Wings about 20 years ago and until last year was loyal and true. They are worth the money and wear very well. Last year I bought a pair of Wolverines through work and my Red Wings have been sitting ever since. I would prefer these boots over athletic shoes ...........
