Default HD Boots

I have had a pair of HD Brakelights that have lasted since 2002. I have walked in them all day at rallys and they still fit fine. I will ride in some of my PD/FD boots and switch to A pair of Wolverine Hiking Boots. I have a wide foot and have to stick with something that will accomodate my wide foot....

In 98 I picked up a pair of Engineer Boots at Wally world for 35 dollars, had lug sole put on em last year. They still look real good, just use em when ridin. I guess I'm gettin my dollars worth out them......although the new soles cost more than the boots did.

I bought my first and last pair of HD boots. Soon after I bought them, the side zippers would not stay up. No warranty on that problem so I had the new pair of boots in a shoe shop for new zippers. It was a cheap fix, ($20) but non the less, these were new boots. (Less than 2 weeks) Anyway, I paid the most I ever paid for riding boots and was the most disappointed I have been in a pair of riding boots. I love HD stuff and I know I over pay but it usually is a better product they push, but the boots have been "Booted" from my HD list. :-)

Default boots

Yea like some of the other guys said FRYE was the hot ticket in the 70's that I know of. I am still wearing 1978 "Nasty feet" that were sold by Easy riders Mag. I won't buy Chinese either but now made in Mexico is not so offensive. OH Frye was the class boot way back but I don't know about today.

I LIKE your attitude!

I bought a pair of ariats new motorcycle boots. they are great. I have wore out a few pairs of engineer type boots and these are by far the best I have ever had on my feet.

+1 !!

I wear Ariat boots at work and I'm on my feet all day, they are great boots. I don't have their motorcycle specific ones though.

Frye boots. We have a renascence man. Good choice. Try HI-TEC hiking boots from Academy or any sports store. Real comfortable and a good price. Bates are good as well. Had a pair of Red Wing lineman boots back in the 70's and they were very comfortable, even hanging off a pole. I can only imagine what their MC boots feel like.

The only boots I will ride with are Danner Boots. All made in the US, since like 1935 (Portland, Oregon)...very good customer service. All I could tell anyone here is to give them a try. You can even custom design a pair of your own boots mixing and matching features.
For Riding I wear their Super Rain Forrest. They are not what you would call inexpensive....at least not their "stitch down" models.
