Living in NY City and traveling the upstate areas and into PA, I learned from many experiences to carry extra gear and shirts and a jacket. Even remember pulling into a K-Mart or Walmart every now and then to pick up a sweatshirt....

Being a former Montanan I know what it's like to ride in various temperature changes. Even on the farm we would have temp changes of 40's in the am and 90's and over in the day. You just get used to it. Around here in the Puget Sound area you better be prepared for almost anything. Start out in a cold fog, spent the day sweating like crazy and then the finale of pouring rain for the ride home. Yup......anything can happen!!!! My outer riding gear is my leather coat and chaps. I can't stand rain gear.
