I'm loking for the best all around soft lowers for my Road Glide. I'm looking for the one that block the wind the best and are easy to take on and off. Are the leater ones better than the placstic ones? are velco straps better than snaps? which brand? Pictures would help alot. Thanks in advance. HMT
Been using the cheaper vinyl HD units ($30) for over 20 years. They work well, go on in about 3 minutes and take up almost no room in a saddle bag. Made a set for the wife's Heritage since the crash bars are different.
I have the desertdawgs on mine for the colder months, They work great, and have a wide opening for highway peg position. They also allow for good engine air, so even on warmer days above 60 you dont have to remove them.
I got mine from this vendor on eekbay; http://stores.ebay.ca/MOTORCYCLE-SOFT-LOWERS
Good quality, stainless snaps, adjustable straps with connectors instead of velcro. Any of them will work well, keeps the cold wind off my feet, stores easily in the saddlebag and extends the season.
