Default Mean City Memory Foam

I got my seat lowered by Mean City Cycles in July. The height is great, lowered it about 2 to 2 1/2 inches, making stopping much more comfortable. I have a 30 inch inseam. My only question is, has anyone gotten Memory Foam put into their seat? I have found with the Memory foam than my butt actually gets tired/ hurts sooner than it did with the regular seat. Comments?

Give Allen a call something isn't right. I had my Ultra seat lowered 2 inches with the memory foam and I can do 800 miles as easy as 20.

Default memory foam upgrade

I find the same thing. I hade the memory foam upgrade and I find that I bottom out when I go a long ways now with the upgrade.
I spoke with Allen at mean city and he said that I could send it back for a rework when I am finished with the bike this fall. In the mean time I'm using a gell pad on top of the seat to make long trips tolerable.

I had mine lowered and memory foam added and can ride all day without a butt problem. Call Allen -- he'll take care of you.

I had a similar problem and called Allen - he said to ship it back "RUSH" which i did and it was back in a few days. I rode 400 miles the other day with no problem. Mean City does a great job and Allen is a great guy to do business with!

Allen not only lowered me 2 inches but moved me forward 1 1/2 inches and cut the sides. I am 5' 7"" and my inseam is around 29 inches.

Best read their web site. You will find their booking to be very specific.
