Default New Chubby Bagger Bars, 12.5 apes

I have been unable to decide on handlebars for my new SG but think I have found the bars I want. Wild 1 has recently come out with a new Chubby bar for baggers and I thought that others might be interested as well. I have not seen them mentioned of the forum. The part number is WO577 and they are 12.5 inch bars. Their web site says they come to the top of the bat wing fairing. Seems perfect to me and I think I am going to jump on these. No pictures are available yet but hopefully the web site will have some soon. My purchase is some weeks off but I will post when I have managed the install. Steve

With the Yaffe monkeybars installed can you still use the stock mirrors at all with your hands on the bars? I really like these but want to use the stock mirrors if possible.

Default monkey bars

ive been looking at these also and cant decide if these or the 575 chubbys would be better. Im conered about the pull back. I think they are about 7". im 5 10 and wondering if i would have to ride leaning forward some or can you still lean back.

I am also thinking about going 12.5 or 13 this winter, does anyone who has done it have a parts list? I will be installing these my self on an 08 SG.

+2 On the 13" Cyclesmith bars. It only took until the end of the driveway to get use to them. Having the Brawler solo makes it feel like they are 13+ bars. You can also use the stock SG mirrors. You just have to look under your arm to see behind you. I might put mirrors on next spring but I like the clean look the way it is. You can push the bars on top of the inner fairing or pull them out a bid. I have two fingers between the bars and the inner fairing but it's what ever is confortable for you. I am a at best a class C mechanic and I was able to change them out. All you need is a longer clutch cable and brake line. I also put on a one piece FBW unit that I got from the local HD store. PM me if you have any other questions. I just finished the job two weeks ago.
