I have an HD heated jacket ( that i got 60% off in a sale ) and I just fitted the heat demons, used them on a 4:30 am ride on Saturday, I'm 100% happy with them. I do miss the heated Corbin seat I had on my 06 FLHT

If you don't go the electric route, I've used my ski gloves. They are a bit bulky, but keep the fingers safe for quite a while. When they don't work, I add some thin glove liners. After today's below 40 degree ride in the fog, I'm considering putting the liner (non-electric) back into my coat.

Lots of posters are recommending the jacket liners... hmmmm.
Up here in Minnesota we are not fortunate enough for year round riding.
I personally don't think I would buy a jacket liner since I am only looking to "extend" my riding season probably until Nov 1st. (every day riding, not just weekends) But that's longer than most MN riders are doing. I only have 20 more years to go before I would consider myself a geezer, maybe then I'll buy one.

I got a great jacket and pants, non electric. Keeps me warm and dry into the 20's. What I need are some good electric gloves. My old metric had heated grips but just wasn't enough. Next time I go to the big city. I need to move farther away from work too, only takes about ten minutes, but my fingers still get cold. Geezers get cold......

In our case, the jacket liners are used year round. In the spring when it's cool in the morning or evening. When a cold rain comes up, under the rain suit as well as cold weather. Here in Indiana we have a lot of sunny winter days in the high 30's. With the heated gear,It sure gets rid of cabin fever in a hurry. My wife was skeptical about the jacket liner till the first time she rode with it on. Now she's ready for more. If you know someone who has one, ask them to try it on and go for a ride, I think you will change your mind. Ours stay in the saddlebags. When folded they will fit easily in a gallon zip lock bag with the controller. Dan

ok, so let me get this right - Full face helmet, heated jacket and gloves and pants...

HMM, so what is the difference between that and riding in a car? just the number of wheels.

My best cold weather mod in Wisconsin is a Chevy Malibu. Below 45 in the mornings just ain't worth it anymore guys.

The worst I have to deal with here in the high desert mountains of So Cal is upper 20's typically and that's in the wee hours of the morning or late at nite. Daytime hits upper 40's or low 50's normally. I don't have the electric gear but a couple layers under my heavy winter riding jacket (a Tourmaster Saber with quilted lining) and I'm just fine. Tourmaster also makes an excellent winter riding glove called PolarTex and it's good into the 20's also. Long johns under my Cortech leather lined riding jeans and I"m OK. My commute is an hour down into San Diego then back up into the mountains after the shift is over - from 4200' elevation down to Sea Level then back again.

I may eventually try the heated jacket liner though, it sure sounds nice to be toasty warm in the 20's!
