Vance and Hines help

I have a 1997 roadking police with fuel injection. I wanted to order the basic slip ons by vance and hines for the bike. Would i have to get that fuelpak they advertise or is it just a scam?

I recommend the fuel pack for performance. I put one on my 05 Softtail and was pleased with the results. It is easy to program and will fit under your seat. V&H has great customer support.

If you are only putting on the mufflers and not putting on a high flow intake such as the SE air cleaner, then you should not need the fuelpak....your bike should run pretty much the same, but you would have a different sounding exhaust.

What He said ^. If all you are changing is the Mufflers and not the air in you should be good. And your gonna love the Basic slipons. They rock.

I put the V&H basic slash cut slip-ons on my '08 EGC. Everything else is stock, the bike runs no different than with the stock mufflers, just louder. Throw them on, no worries. No need to do anything else but enjoy the sound.
