Put one on my 08 Ultra last year works good never thought of it cooling motor. I run a Jag 10 row, oil gauge never goes over 185-190 on a long run at aroud 80.

Put one on my RK Custom. It has reduced the air flow a bit over the tank.

I never notice air flow over the tank. Perhaps I just assume I am riding a motorcycle and not driving a car, thus a little air is to be expected. Go figure.

I put one on my 06 ultra and when I traded it in for the 08 ultra I removed the baffle and installed it on the 08. I think it directs the air across the cylinder heads and helps keep the motor cooler. I keep it on all the time regardless of the season
