i had an 08 Electra Classic and put the front fork wind deflectors on it. They worked really well, as for as keeping wind off of the arms, shoulders, neck etc.. i now own an Ultra Classic with the lower fairings, and want to put them on this bike as well, but i don't know if it is going to stop too much wind from getting to the engine. Last thing i want is the bike to over heat because of $60 worth of chrome, even if they do work well. Anyone have any experience with this issue? Thanks, rick
Someone recently posted a pic of them on an Ultra with lowers, so they do fit.
Did you notice any difference in the handling? I was at the dealer today and going to buy some for the cold weather and both parts guys talked me out of it (unusual at an HD dealership) saying it affected the handling in a negative way.
I put them on my Heritage in the winter time. Has no effect what so ever on handling.
It stops the buffeting from air coming under the windshield. On a warmer day you feel a little more heat off the motor.
Does any one else make a set of these besides HD, I had a set on my last bike (sorry it was a Suzuki) and I liked the way they looked and they really did help divert the wind off of me, (did not affect handling either) but I really am not to fond of the look of the HD ones, I don't care for the way they are shaped and bent. Any other options out there.
