Any suggestions?
I am going on my first long distance ride. I have April the 14th thru April the 23rd off and my wife told me to go anywhere I want. [sm=biker2.gif] I live in N.C. and really would like some info on any rallies, events, etc.. that will be going on in that time.
I am thinking about going to Key West but that is a long drive by myself. Another option would be New Orleans. I am not sure on the weather there this time of the year.
If anyone knows of a good ride or would like to ride along....let me know..

Well, you could start by catching the tail-end of the Heritage Motorcycle Rally in S.C. (it goes through April 16).
PipeDaddy rode across the panhandle of Florida (read his journal at www.pipedaddy.com)
If you get as far as New Orleans, ride a bit of the Natchez Trace Parkway for some gorgeous scenery.
Or closer to home, the North Georgia Mountains is #7 on Motorcycle Escape's top 10 list.

Well, if you were out West, I would suggest Arizona! I would love to go back East and ride the trails and roads. I'm off on a ride to San Diego next week! Should be fun!

when i go for long rides alone...i just pick a direction...like east or one of the others...i take a toothbrush, a coupla changes of clothes, some cash, plastic, a camera, & a phone...then i just go 
enjoy...i personally love the BRP & the Dragon...but the N Georgia Mtns are awesome
