Default Stage 1 for 09 Ultra

Do I need this? Going to use Rinehart slip-ons, but no engine mods. Dealer says I need this and a SERT to run right. I don't trust this dealer to be straight so I thought I'd educate myself.

There's only 2 dealerships within 250 miles of me and same group owns both of them. They are pretty easy to deal with when buying bikes but love to put it in raw when it comes to parts and accessories.

You don't need any type of SERT or stage 1 download for slipons only. Slipons and high airflow air cleaner you will need at least the stage 1 download. I went from stock to Rush slipons, SE AC and stage 1 download and performance went way up. Bike is very impressive when you give it max throttle. Stage 1 download was worth it for me. Great improvement over stock.

You don't need it but you will sure feel the difference if and when you get it. I did the pipes first and ran for a short time before i did the sert and dyno. Big difference. Skip the download.
