Hello, First of all I am working on a wrecked 07 Street Glide. I purshased a new take off sheet metal set from a 08 SG, the damage to the bike is moslty cosmetic, no wear on tabs or the frame. The bike had full rear bag rails on it when I bought it, the kind that protect upwards, like a road king. These were scratched bad so I removed them. I purchased a used set of tuck under bag rails which iliminates the chrome bar that goes upwards towards the frame under the seat.
My problem is that the bags just do not set right on these bag rails. The front appears to be too low and the rear of the bag looks like it should be set back further.
Are all bag rails the same, which I assumed they are, the ones I have are off of an electraglide, but maybe the Street Glide needs diff ones?
