Default 95 ci conversion

Friend of mine had a 103 kit put on his 07 Duece before it ever left the dealership. He has the original 96 ci jugs and pistons. He thinks I can use his leftovers to turn my 88 into a 95. Anybody know if this is true or even possible? Would save me a few bucks.

I am not super smart on bikes, but I am pretty good on cars. I wouldn't think that alone would mean it wouldn't work. If the bore is the same, the stroke would have to be different for a gain in displacement. If the bore and stroke were the same, then you wouldn't be changing anything.

Yes the bore is the same. The same jugs are used on 88's and 96's. Take your friends jugs and have them bored to 95"-98". You'll need new pistons/rings.
