Do put your seat on it's seat, and ride the freakin' tires off it. With almost 70K on my Road King, it was the best motorcycle decision I've ever made. And it can evolve to become whatever you want. Good choice, and ride safe.
Make sure you drop out the axles and copper grease em, if the dealer misses this at PDI, by the time you come to change your tyres it will caused you a headache, cause they will be siezed.
Use synthetic oils for each specific area. Yes one oil will work in all three but it wont be the best option.
Red Line, Amsoil, or Mobil 1, change engine at 5000 miles, tranny at 10000-15000 and primary at 10000.
Use HD or k&N oil filters at every oil change.
Stg 1 it.
Move floorboards out 3/4" each side.
Fit 1 1/2" extended heel shift lever and drop both the front and rear levers almost level with floorboard.
Be patcient and take the time to run it in properly.
