I would be interested in trying one on my RG, but I don't want to have to buy one to test it. Is there somewhere in the Northern Virginia area that I would be able to test ride a Mustang solo on my scooter?
Just got my Mustang solo with backrest and passenger pillion for my FLHTC yesterday. Put it on this morning and it looks great! Can't wait to take it for a spin.
Dennis Kirk often has good prices, does price matching and is excellent regarding returns.

If you order DIRECTLY from Mustang, you have 10 days to return it (undamaged) for a full refund if you decide you don't like it.
My Mustang solo with backrest arrived yesterday put it on and am very happy with the seat, comfort, looks very well made. Now i think i need a new set of handle bars. I`am running the stock 01RK bars I was wondering what the rest of you are using?.
That color would look great with the Mustang Solo Seat. I also used my backrest today for the first time. Very different feeling. I don't think I'd use it for everyday, but for distance it's going to be fantastic. Just lean back a little, adjust it for comfort and stack on the miles. I'm looking forward to our next distance run.
But I digress, again!
Go for the solo, any solo, and with the chrome and color of you ride, you'll be looking awesome. Or Imean............ more awesome!
I think I'm an inch higher, but mostly due to my old seat being flat. So I'd think I'm even with a newer bike. But it feels great at the new height. I'm sure it will lower a little bit as miles go on it.
Maybe a 1/2" forward, same reason. I was fiddleing with where my butt felt good, front to back, so the jury is still working on that one.
[That Saddlemen crap seat had me too low and also forward. But it was poor quality and has now been delivered back to it's birth place.....]
All together I feel as though I just bought a new bike. Today was my first 50ish miles on it and I think I felt better in tight turns and more confident as a rider. I know it might sound strange but I really felt like I was more a part of the bike, not just on it. Not 'in' it either. Just better.
