Default Engine mod advice needed

I got a 06 EG std at the end of the year & was finally able to take an overnight trip this weekend. I now have about 2k miles & the bike is completely stock. The trip was only about 500, but I noticed something that I need to change. When cruising around 70mph, the bike does not have any real acceleration to speak of. I like to have plenty of acceleration available from 60-75 mph in case I need to get out of the way of a tractor & trailer. FYI my riding habits consist of weekend cruising to 2-week trips.

Anyway, what would you guys suggest for performance mods to help with this issue.

thanks,
Mike

Pipes/ air cleaner / tuner to start see if it's enough... (Most bang for your buck)

next step: big bore kit with cams

then: 6 speed tranny...

I would do one at a time see what meets your needs.

I just recently had 204 cams installed, goes from 65-90 like you are flicking a switch.

I agree. The 203 cams kick in right where you are talking about (passing cars on the interstate). The 95 inch big bore would be a great investment along with these cams and a SERT Tuner.

Carmell,

Can you please tell me the brand, model number and the price of this cam? My next project was to be the 103 kit, but you guys have made me think about a 95 kit with a good cam. I would appreciate the info.

Thanks,
Kahuna
