I guess one of the battery cables came loose
when you hit that bump.
Check your cables or circuit brakers.

Circuit breakers? Doesn't show any of them in the service manual? Am I missing something?

Its not that hard to trace the harness from the console back to the fuse block and battery. Bust out the factory service manual, and do some trouble shootin. You know it has got to be a loose wire/ground/fuse/relay or something of that nature because of the way it failed.

The wiring harness has a ground wire on the right side of the frame, just forward of the VIN stamping. Check that.
The flashing turn signals is a code. You'll need to clear that out.

Default Your help greatly appreciated!

Thank you one and all who gave me input or just read this and said, Humm, I think they have it covered. I Traced wires after looking at fuses and grounds, could see no cause for the power loss. Started by pulling fuses and checking them for continuity an low and behold, the assry fuse looked fine but I could get no read on it. I changed that fuse and the speedo and tach came to life. I went though the diag and came up with a code P1356, this doesn't come up on anything I have seen, plus got some PN # come up, any idea where I can look them up? I am thinkin I am gettin into old codes but I am not sure. Thank you all for all your help. Rick

I just looked in the electrical diag. manual and it shows P1351-P1355 as coil related issues. However, I see no P1356 shown anywhere.

I found it listed as a misfire on the rear cylinder, I suspsct I might have gotten some bacd gas when I went north 2 weeks ago. the engine light came on intermittenly and would stay on for 4-6 seconds then go out. When I go what I figured was good premium in it, it slowed down and the bike ran smoother but, the code wasn't cleared
