Thank you one and all who gave me input or just read this and said, Humm, I think they have it covered. I Traced wires after looking at fuses and grounds, could see no cause for the power loss. Started by pulling fuses and checking them for continuity an low and behold, the assry fuse looked fine but I could get no read on it. I changed that fuse and the speedo and tach came to life. I went though the diag and came up with a code P1356, this doesn't come up on anything I have seen, plus got some PN # come up, any idea where I can look them up? I am thinkin I am gettin into old codes but I am not sure. Thank you all for all your help. Rick

i had the samething happen to me this past spring do you have lowering block on this bike if so you may have bottomed out tire into the wireing harness it made the speedo and tach. do very funny things on mine it did not blow fuses it drove me nuts for a couple days i checked it out with a meter nothing wrong blinkers would work go for a ride blinkers would act up along with gauges finally took rear tire off harness was shreaded but must have only shorted out when the bike was moving dealers usually keep this harness in stock just something you may want to check IMHO.
