I wonder why there is only one model in the regular lineup (Not counting 09 CVO obviously)
There are several flavors of ALL the other models (too many of some!) There are 3 FL Softails, too many Dyna models to count, 4 versions of Electra Glides (counting Streetglide) and I don't even know how many Sportsters & VRods any more. (Again not counting CVO's)
There should be a RoadGlide Standard (Silver motor - no stripes, radio etc, at a reasonable price too)
The regular RG like they have now And an Ultra version. Let em charge the money for the Ultra version. People will pay it. How many on this forum would?
Well, gonna go watch Sons of Anarchy now . . . See if they're gonna ride a motorcycle tonight.
I agree with you 100%. I've spent a lot of time and money upgrading my RG to include a tourpak, rear speakers, etc. HD should offer an Road Ultra Glide. I'd be the first to buy one.

Don' think we'll ever see them go back to the silver engine like the 07 and earlier. But I have a feeling a fully dressed Road Glide, aka FLHTCU, will be on the way soon.
We have 3
one 04 mostly stock
the other 2 would be considered Ultra.
In 04, it was a base (standard) and the appeal was that you could do what you wanted
with a low base price.
On my 04, it was 1000.00 less to buy it,,dress it up like an ultra
I'm buying a new '09 Ultra because there isn't an FLTRCU and it would cost quite a bit to convert the standard Road Glide to an Ultra. If they offered the FLTRCU than I'd go that route. I know I can add most of the items myself, but I won't get much for them when I sell trade-in down the road, and the Ultra has historically retained more value because it came stock with the extras.

That is not true in my area ( NE)
RG's are holding 1000's more in value over all baggers.
Ultra baggers even more
I agree...I have spent big bucks upgrading my Road Glide to include options that are on the Ultra. I would have rather purchased a "stock" Ultra Road Glide that already had the extras installed.
