If I bought another RG I'd sure be interested in a more 'sport touring' version with less of the Ultra-like goodies. Give me more performance with less bling.

I'd like an Ultra version of the RG. I was able to move the tour pak and lowers from the 05 to my 07.

Thumbs up

I saw a trick deal Fri nite. A guy had an 05 RG with the Ultra T/P and the "chopped" style backrest pad. He had the armrest holes and speaker pod holes plugged off w/acorn nuts.

Either way, HD needs to make one that comes with that. It can't cost one thin dime more to make than an Ultra.

The predecessor of the Road Glide was the Tour Glide. I bought new a
94 FLTCU Ultra Tour Glide Classic. Had everything everybody on here wants. The MoCo discontinued it in 96 and two years came out with the Road Glide (basic). I bought new a '02 Road Glide and at that time the MoCo had a Ultra Conversion kit. Was something like $2,500. Which naturally I bought.

Why they don't offer one could be due to forecasting a volume for that type of bike or probably because they can make more money off of everyone buying the parts. If people were to write in I would think at least give back the Ultra conversion kit instead of nickle/diming everyone to death.
