Default ABS light on???

I did a search...does not work with just "ABS"..."anti-lock" is useless too.

Anyway, what are some reasons the ABS light is staying on? Manual says an ABS malfunction. My light came on during my commute to work this morning (70 miles one-way).

Thanks.

If it stays on while you're at speed, you need to take it in to a dealer and have it checked.

Yes, the manual says that also but, my question is...what are some reasons the light would stay on? I was hoping I could gain some knowledge from someone who has experienced this already. Thanks though.

Did you add LED lights with a modulator? This can cause problems with the ABS light if the modulator(s) are not compatible with the HD dld electrical system.

Yes, I did. It was my aftermarket rims, the rear bearing (ABS sensor side) pretty much disintegrated and needed to be replaced. It was a fluke, a bad bearing...the ABS sensor could not take a reading hence why the light was on.

thanks for the info. My ultra has only 500 miles on it - I wonder if I have a bad bearing.

I will take her in for a check.

Thanks,
Paul
