I am 6'4" and so is my dad, the extensions do make a difference. You wouldn't think it but it does. I have the 1" spacers and it keeps my legs off the tanks which is good as i have long legs. Stop trying to make sense of it, get you some soos extensions.

And if i can get photobucket to work, i will try to post a picture of how a lot of tall guys put their highway pegs.

the ONLY downside to the extensions that ive found is that if you have rear extensions on your floorboards and a wheel dock center stand it makes it difficult to use the stand while on the bike.otherwise thy're great

I am 6"2 and went witht he 3/4" extensions from soos, they made a huge difference and as others have said, I now have the highway pegs mounted so that I can put my heels on the floorbaors and toes on the pegs, giving me another riding position to use.

Put my 1" extensions from Soos on last week. First ride with them was over the weekend.

Big, big difference in comfort. No more legs rubbing on the tank and I was able to use the whole board for my feet. Plus you can put your feet further forward on the boards without hitting the shifter or brake pad.

I was going to do highway pegs but now I don't think they are necessary.

I also received my 4" bolts and washers from him today. Good to go.....

Well at 6' 6" with a size 15 shoe, I did the 1" extension and while I did notice a difference it was not nearly enough...at all.
I realize it's just me because on my last bike I kicked the controls forward 5 1/2" and up 1". Not happening on an Ultra, and I understand that so I bought a seat that dropped me down and pushed me back. Now I'm happy as can be
It actually took me two seats to get that fit. The Badlander was the first and it moved me a tiny bit back from stock, but it was still not enough and it sat me up a little too high. I just got my hands on a Stripper seat and I'm not turning back.
Speaking of which, I need to get that Badlander on the classifieds...good luck with your search

Big +1 for Soos kits. I put the 1" on mine and really could tell the difference. I also raised the front boards to compensate for this. Raising the boards caused about the same amount of scrapes as before.
