Smile Leather Chaps?

My chaps are worn-out and since winter is coming, I need to replace them.

Who has had good luck with any of the on-line suppliers, if so who did you buy from and which model did you buy?

Thanks for your replies, I'll be ordering some next week.

I bought the lined leather overpants from Jafrums and they're great quality. Get one size larger than you normally wear. They had a coupon for 5% off. Try GOGO5 for the coupon code.

Have you looked at Fox Creek Leather? Their stuff is usually top notch.

Not to steal the thread but i have always wondered something. People always talk about "assless chaps" and such. My question is isn't a chap by definition "assless"? If they had asses then they would be leather pants....anyways.

I got my leather chaps from Nashville at a leather store going out of business. Although i have heard good things about Jafrums as well

I think they really become "assless" when you just have your Speed-Os on, along with your tank-top and fingerless gloves! ;-)

Back to the real question. I have a pair from Z1R. I really like the quality and feel, a little silicone on the zippers every year and they are great. Sorry don't remember where I got them from.

I own a pair of Fox Creek Leather chaps that I found here on the hdforums. Great quality and worth it for deflecting bugs, rocks, and cooler weather. Purchasing here I saved over $100!

Another vote for Fox Creek. Have a bunch of their stuff and it's great quality.

My chaps are made out of Buffalo Hide, died black. They work GREAT. Don't discount the ones that can be found on eBay, etc. They don't have to be cattle hide!

If you have a local leather store or a rally I'd check them out. That way you could get the proper length for the same price and you wouldn't have to mess with them.

I got a set of leather overpants from http://www.chilhowee.net. Pretty inexpensive, will recieve them next week and see how they're made. Can't afford the Langitz yet.

Got 'em, Like them, just order two sizes above what you normally would. Not as much room in the crotch as I'd like, kinda binding/restrictive. Like 'em a lot better than just plain chaps though.
