i can believe that. i just posted a day or so ago for 09 fitment and the question was if i put this system on how am i supposed to hook up my backrest since that hooks to the top of the rear shock on the streetglide couldn,t find out from their web site ?
Sorry to hear that however, I have never had any bad experiences with them. I even had some fitment issues due to some custom work I did on my ride and they were quick to get the parts I needed and asked no questions about the return of the old parts. I toured the factory and they fit every bike out there in the shop with the systems. You take a walk in there, you will see about 20 bikes alone and many of the local shops send their bikes there for the systems. I'd call them again and see what they can do for you.
Recently, I bought the Arnott Alden air ride system and I had to modify the bracket (straighten and re-bend) to make it fit in the area in front of the battery on my 09' CVO Road Glide. After I finished the installation, I tested it and the compressor was defective. I called Arnott and reported the defective compressor and also let them know that the bracket needed to be modified to fit my bike. Arnott sent me a replacement compressor in good faith (without charging my credit card) that I would return the defective one, which I did. The replacement had the correct bracket for the 09's and it slipped right into the spot without any modifications. I am sure that if you explained to them that you got the wrong bracket, they would ship you the correct bracket for the 09' model. Their tech guy seemed reasonable and easy to work with for me anyhow.
