What is a stickey?

Why are there the same three stickey threads always at the top of the touring thread, who decides, who creates, and why?

Stickiness or the quality of being sticky can refer to several things:

* the physical phenomena of adhesion and cohesion
* the defining physico-chemical property of glue

Forum Moderators have the luxury (authority) to make a post thread a "sticky" which as you stated, keeps the thread at the top always. This is normally done to important threads that are desired to always be visible, rather then disappear down the list as it grows. If you have something you feel is important, bring it to a moderators attention for consideration, but generally, they decide.

Needless to say, this thread will NOT be one of them...
