I have been reading through dozens of threads on this "wobble" issue, and I was unaware of it would be like. After reading some posts on here, especially the one here from biz44, I will be putting a stabilizer on this weekend.
I'd rather be proactive instead of having to "scare" myself into getting something done.
There is a group buy for a guy in Oregon who is making these...I will try that one. Here is that thread: HDFORUMS Group Buy, Page 9
They made it from much heavier tubing. Fewer welds. A much heavier duty swingarm. It doesn't have the rubbery bushings that cause the problem in the first place. I think they went with some harder plastic on the bushings. The only reason they redesigned it was because they were planning on the triglide trike, and needed a frame that could handle it.
Most people don't realize, if you put a stabilizer on the back, you really should put one on the front of the engine also. I think tri-link is the only one who makes one.

The problem is the rear lateral movement. there is no front lateral movement, take care of the rear and the problem is solved.
Thanks for the explanation on the 09 fix. You're the first one who's been able to tell me what has been done to fix it (different bushing material).
