I mounted an 05 King Tour Pak on my 07 RG using detachables. See pictures of the underside below. No drilling was required! The "U" bar adds rear Tour Pak support. The bottom of the Tour Pak has moulded in supports for the "U" bar.

Default tour-pak mount

I put a tour-pak on my Roadking back in 01 and the detach rack went in the center of the base not in the two grooves down the sides with the holes. Mine had four very light depressions for drilling the holes on the bottom that mached the rack, Sorry i can`t find my insructions and my camera died yesterday.

The Breeze.

PS the only thing on the bottom of my tour-pak is the detach rack and two peices of foam to protect the Paint

I think something is missing. I have the rack and the tourpak but not the U shaped tube piece in your pics.

Yes everything came with the kit.

Default Tour-pak

I`am not shure what year your bike is. The tour-pak in your picture is the same as mine part#53107-88 and mine did`nt come with anything but the rack and the foam pads i think the the loop in the other pics is for newer year bikes.
