I am getting my Street Glide ready to put away for the winter here in the upper midwest. This is my first Harley. My plan was to change oil, been running seaform and stabilizer in the tank for the last 2 tanks, wash/wax, cover.
My question is about the battery. Normally i would take the battery into the house and keep it on a tender during the winter months. However, i heard that dis-connecting the battery can cause issues with the bike and that you may get "codes" when you re-install it. Is there any truth to this?
No problem removing, but you could just hook up the tender to it in the old garage. Been doing that for the last 10-20 years, and haven't had a problem yet....
