I would sell my soul...To the touring family....An old man in the stealership....Said young man...Once you cross over to the bagger's ...Theirs no going back...EVER!!!!!!!!!
He was right!!!!! The two bikes im looking at one has 15,000 miles ..and the other about 10,000...Is this really high for these bikes????? They have a 2004 roadking with 3,789 miles....Is their any years I should avoid for the roadking??????
All I know is All I want is a bagger now....
IMHO go 2003 or newer they changed the rear axle in 03 to a larger one . 10,000 miles isnt realy all that many miles . If you are on a budget look at a ex police bike. the futher south east you look the better the deals ( road trip to Fla.)
I found a guy this summer who couldn't handle the RK he had recently bought from his father. Traded my 02 FXDL for the 03 FLHRI with even miles and $1k cash.
Found the guy's ad for a trade on Craigslist. Might try that.
Wasn't real thrilled with the King when I first got it, but now it's a keeper.
After two Dynas and a Heritage, I finially graduated to a Road King Classic. Took a few weeks of riding to fully appreciate the bike. Believe it or not, I think it handles better at least better than my Heritage.
I love it and plan on lots of mods this winter to make it really mine.
Thanks for your service. Get what you want and to hell with the cost. You deserve it.

I went in to the HD delaership for a new battery for my 2004 Low Rider, Test drove an 07 Street Glide and ended up driving home on one... Touring is for sure the way to go!
