Default Boots

I need a new pair of boots. My old boots are done. I've put 105K miles on them and they're just past gone.

I like boots that have a little height to them, and comfortable. Not too heavy, and be able to walk in them a bit, but no major hiking I guess.

Any suggestions?

I prefer Chippewa logger style boots. Thick soles and higher heel. Have 3 pair of them. One pair for riding that are waterproof.

Bring on the flames but I just bought my first pair of Doc Martens from their Industrial line. Thick soles and steel toed. Very comfortable on and off the bike.

My boots are in need of replacing too. If I can find a pair just like my old ones I'll get them again. 8 years isn't too bad. They are black Wolverines, Thinculated with what I think is nylon on the sides of the ankle so they flexed well. I'm hopping some discounter has some old stock because these thing are probably discontinued.

Try a pair of Bates ultra light duty boots, Great boots for riding, I have the side zip ones. I have 2 other pair of riding boots, One is Thorogood duty ankle boots, great to walk in as well as ride. I also like Double H western roper style boots with a rubber sole and 2inch heel. The Harley boots that I like are too heavy and stiff.
