Bring on the flames but I just bought my first pair of Doc Martens from their Industrial line. Thick soles and steel toed. Very comfortable on and off the bike.
My boots are in need of replacing too. If I can find a pair just like my old ones I'll get them again. 8 years isn't too bad. They are black Wolverines, Thinculated with what I think is nylon on the sides of the ankle so they flexed well. I'm hopping some discounter has some old stock because these thing are probably discontinued.

Try a pair of Bates ultra light duty boots, Great boots for riding, I have the side zip ones. I have 2 other pair of riding boots, One is Thorogood duty ankle boots, great to walk in as well as ride. I also like Double H western roper style boots with a rubber sole and 2inch heel. The Harley boots that I like are too heavy and stiff.
