I have owned my new bike for one week and just today I was informed it was a geezer glide! I guess that makes me the geezer. I will be 48 yrs. old in a week and if I knew what a pleasure it is to ride the FLHTCU I would of become a geezer many years before now. I absolutely luv it. Have been riding on the streets since age 16 and nothing has come close to how I feel rolling down the road on this bike. I am one happy geezer.
Welcome to the Geezer Glide Group of Great Guys & Gals.... Retired, and I've got 70K on this one, and prolly 4-500,000 on the rest of em... Just keep riding, and remember: "You don't get too old to ride, you get old because you DON'T ride!.... Think about it, it'll grow on ya... Welcome aboard.
I've been a member of the geezer club for a couple of years now. Wish I would have joined it sooner. So does the wife now that she knows how those cushy seats feel. Welcome aboard.
Put the coffee mug in the holder, fold down the highway pegs, set the cruise control at a comfortable speed, relax against the backrest and crank up the tunes...It's a tough, tough life we lead... BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!
I traded off an '04 Nightrain for a new '06 SG and heard all the "Geezer Glide" jokes known to man. I just laughed and thought "boy, if you only knew what I know now". About half of these same guys now have touring bikes. And no, as my wife tells me all the time, she will never ride on a Badlander seat again.
The Geezer Glide Club is great. Just a few pointers #1 don't lean over gas tank until your back hurts thats reserved for crotch rockets #2 its fall dress in layers to stay warm you have a place to store it now looking cool is okay being cold is for bobbers #3 sit up ride safe and be a proud sponsor of the geezer glide club
