Sitting here wondering a few things about exhaust. What exactly is the purpose of the crossover pipe? I see everyone switching to "true duals" and thinking eliminating the crossover from the original pipes would be more economical, especially if you're a welder. The new 2-1-2 on the '09's is one ugly system, lessens ground clearance and puts all the heat on the right side.....and this is an improvement how? I think i'll just leave mine alone and be happy.
My understanding is this. I bought the Bub7 TD WITH Crossover, because
1: it sounds nicer (to me)
2: it does not cause loss of low/mid torque
3: it scavenges the gases etc which makes it run better and affects 1 and 2!
PS I really like the looks of no crossover, but you'd not get me to change to straight TD's or the 2-1; even though the 2-1 does provide the opportunity for better performance when tuned properly.
