I put mine on yesterday and got a short ride in today (27 degrees out). Fit and finish is excellent. This bracket is heavy duty. This quarter inch steel is not going to flex. I could already tell the bike feels tighter in the corners. I could not recreate the rear wheel waunder that I noticed before in the high speed corners. This thing works. And for you naysayers, I can tell you I rode this motorcycle before and after the install and it eliminates the rear wheel dance. If you want to comment on the brand you bought, great, but don't bad mouth a product you have not even tried or seen in person. Torsional load questions- if you bend this bracket after installed on the bike you got bigger problems than some waundering in the corners. Maybe I am not credible enough to comment on the product as I don't have an engineering degree. But in the 5 Harley's I have owned totalling over 200K miles, I can say out of all the money I spent on handling upgrades this is the BEST $175 I EVER SPENT. Not many products you can buy with a 100% money back guaranty. I am betting Aaron has not got one back. Thanks Aaron for making this quality product affordable. And hang in there as all who have actually seen one, installed one and ridden with one will give a more reputable review. Even the naysayers will accept that it works as the numbers will be on your side.---------Rethy
I don't believe it will work. The mounting plate goes in the same place as the center stand brace....but I wonder if you place the Throttle brace over the center stand brace and use a longer bolt? You'll have metal on metal...hmmmm any ideas out there from other?
It installed easily on the jiffy stand. Will test it later this week. Supposed to get way up into the 40's!
Think I'll be going for Aaron & Firecap's stereo upgrade next.
Isn't it funny how after you and your bike have "bonded" sort of for the last x many years, and then bang....you install a simple third link engine to frame, and its like your riding a different bike. Thats exactly how it was for me......without question one of the best mods anybody with a <08 could make to their bike!
I appreciate all the reviews coming in! I have heard nothing but good so far from guys, and I'm glad you're all happy with them. I wish I could comment more on the center-stand questions. This has been brought up several times now, and I just am not sure. I have never even personally seen one installed to be quite honest with you. Maybe if someone could shoot me a picture I could look at it and have a better idea, but I certainly wouldn't want to mislead a fella into buying something that won't work for him. Thanks again for all the great reviews.
How about a pic of one installed on a bike. I have never had this rear wash out that is being talked about. Why does this brace work? If it works so great why is it not FOE. I am not saying it doesn't work I just have never felt the need to stabilize my bike as it feels rock solid like it is.
