I just bought a new 09 FLHT Standard.
I wanted to add a stereo but the thought of $999 plus labor stopped me.
Then I read about the Biketronic's Plug-n-Play kit.
I run their BT1000 control box (allows use of my factory controls), their BT445 Hertz speakers and I just ordered the new BT480 Titan amp (180 watt rms/channel). No complaints here. It is bike specific stuff not adapted car stuff.
Dozens of HDF'ers (myself included) are happy Biketronics customers. You can save some $$$ by purchasing the headunit (be sure it's compatible with the Biketronics interface/module) at a reputable discounter.
Use the "search" function and you'll find dozens of threads, including pics, of installation--very simple; most new owners find removing the fairing the most anxious part of the process.
i just put one in my streetglide and it is very nice, easy to install. only bad thing is i ran the battery dead. so i chared it, then the hand controls did not work . so i called them and all you have to do is unplug the 23 pin conecter , wait a few min. then plug back in. just have to take the outer fairing off. that sucks
