Default Tour Pak Fix

I have a detachable Tour Pak that has been loose since day one. Every detachable Tour Pak I have come across also seems to be loose. They kind of rock at the quick detach points. They people I have talked with all say the same thing. “They are all loose.”

Has anyone come up with a fix for this problem?

This winter I’m adding the Kuryakyn relocator to move the Tour Pak back a total of 4 inches. When I do this I’m going to use some silicon in the quick release to dampen the movement. I really don’t want to replace the detachable with a hard mount. Have any ideas?

Yep - there is a fix. I'll post it here in a few.

One of the forum members here makes billet aluminum mounts. I have them and they work great. I just lube them up a little one and a while. They should last forever.

I'm sure someone will post the info for you.

That's him. I bought a set ($50) and they are a vast improvement.

Thanks! This looks like a great fix. I just sent you an e-mail. (Actually sent it to the guy who makes them.)

Default Too tight

Sounds like you need to move the washer's around some so that you don't have to spread it that much, should just slide on, best to have just a slight drag to it (wedge) if it's as tight as you say look and see if if you can move a washer so that the bushing lines up better, mine was a bear to remove till I saw what the problem was, mine was at the back the latch portion. Hope this helps some
