Injuries????
Not trying to be morbid, but just curious who have suffered injuries from motor cycle accidents.
Me?
Accident 1: separated sternum, torn rotator cuff
Accident 2: broke 5 bones in left foot.
Care to share?
Bad road rash on left leg and left arm. Sprained ankle. Bruised rib and hip. Tore knee.
Two months later, knee is going to be a problem at some point, but I have a new bike and am riding again!
One thing, though.... I am WAY more of a timid and wussy rider... kinda weird

I feel that I have to get some miles back under me to reclaim some normalcy.

This accident was totally my fault.
Another time, I had a lady on a bicycle pull out in front of me in a crosswalk while I was turning left. Whacked my ankle pretty good on that one. Had to have my left bicep tendon surgically reattached to forearm. This was NOT a fun experience.

This accident was not my fault.
Trail riding and flew off a hill and hit a puddle. Problem was... the puddle was five feet deep! Stopped dead in my tracks. Fractured wrist and tailbone when I flipped over bike and landed on my back! Couldn't walk for over a week. Actually glad I didn't drown!
HAHA! Yep, that one was my fault!!!

Broken hand, torn medial and lateral meniscus, torn ACL in one wreck on Kaw 900.
Next one on a shovel hard tail. Head first through wooden barracade and woke up shoulder deep into chain link fence. No helmet, no front brakes and something gave in my rear drum drag racing. Walked away without a scratch but my chopper me and a buddy built was gone. 2 years later passed out in Thailand and after Medevac back to the states found a lump in my brain. Turned out after the craniotomy it was scar tissue from an old head injury. I was walking around on borrowed time and if I hadn't passed out from engineroom 18 hour shifts in 110 degree heat I might not have known until too late. Still have headaches 28 years later from that one.
Older and reasonably wiser has shown me a better appreciation of the world around me and I plan on riding until the end...a long, long, time from now.
