In my opinion for less money get the Tri Glide. If your HD dealer does a conversion to a trike for you, maybe he can fix you up of there is an issue. If your out on a weeks ride on a Tri Glide and something goes wrong--ANY Harley dealer in North America can fix you up AND you get all the benefits of you HOG membership for a tow etc.

Your HOG benefits are for a year. The HOG benefits for a tow have changed. HOG menmbers MUST call Roadside Assistance for a tow, and they only cover $100.00. Sometimes the dealer doesn't have a chance for pick-up. If you call a dealer for pick up does't count. MOCO doesn't pay for pick up. Please call HOG with compalints.
my dad has a 05 leihman converted ultra... he is picking up his tri-glide in the spring! i have been on both... tri-glide rides waay better, 103 is nice and cams would do it even more wonders....
i cant say much good bout the 05, maybe the company that did the install was the problem.....or umm most likely
I read a review on the HD trike and they spent a lot of time and effort in testing the bike. Even the rake in the forks is different than the two wheelers. The reviewer said they were very impressed with the bike and that they could turn a corner faster on the trike than the two wheel version. I don't know if that is normal, but it sure impressed the reviewers.
If the Tri Glide sells for MSRP, you will save thousands compared to buying the bike and having it converted.
I have heard rumors that some dealers are exceeding MSRP due to demand. If I remember correctly, a few years ago, bikes were selling over list price. The dealers and HD made a few dollars but the customers were not happy with the upside down value of the bikes after a couple years.
I have been searching dealers over the southeast. I wish I could find a dealer with a Tri Glide to test ride and purchase.
From what I understand each HD dealer will only get 2 trikes this year (08)and next (09). My local dealer sold this years allocation and taken money on 5 09s hoping HD will increase production. They have orders for 2010 models. These guys sell at MSRP.
