I originally posted this in the tires/wheels section but I don't think anyone looks over there...either that or no one want's to respond to me
Anyway I'm trying to figure out what kind of fender I will need for a 21" front wheel. I've seen a few setups that have a nice looking, hugging fender that looks like it could be stock Street Glide(?).
For those that have the 21" front wheel, would you mind sharing if your fender is stock or aftermarket?
I'm running a Klock front fender.
Klock also has a stock appearing front fender for 21" wheels.
RWD (Russ Wernimont Designs) also builds a nice fender for 21" wheels.
The 21" fender I'm running has the stock cut, with the wrapper style.
These pics are of the stock appearing Klock and a RWD. I used neither.
The one you see in my sig is what I ended up running.
No. I'm not willing to sell either of the fenders that I didn't use...simply because I've already sold them.
I have a 91 heritage that I'm gonna put hard bags and a 21 on the front and 18 in the back. Instead of buying a new fender I'm gonna use the stock and reset the mounting holes and lower it 3/8" above the tire. Rid of all the trim and rivets and it will get a smooth finish. I almost got the same fender as Badpiggy before I decided to stay with the original. Thursday I start tearing my bike apart and no more riding til I'm done with a total customized job. Paint and airbrush art will take the longest. Look for my before and after pics....
